I received this book, Love Food & Live Well, for free from WaterBrook Multnomah, as part of their blogging for books program.
This book, by Chantel Hobbs, discusses all of the things we already know about health, fitness, and losing weight. The difference, and strength, of this book is that she puts it all together in one place and wraps it up with personal examples and spiritual logic. Then she puts it in real terms - you need to build a strong structure (your body) to help you weather the storms of life.
This book is well-written, but not groundbreaking. It is not a quick-fix, but it is inspirational for those ready to make a change. Just as with any self-help book, the reader needs to be invested and engaged in order for it to work. Chantel Hobbs gives you reasons why you *should* be invested.
Overall a good book, especially because it is not a fad diet book and encourages the reader to change their mindset and to change their habits. 4 of 5 stars.
